Founded in 1987 with the goal of helping young adults who were considering life as a sister, brother, or priest, VISION is published by TrueQuest Communications on behalf of the National Religious Vocation Conference (NRVC), who currently holds the copyright.
VISION's mission is to provide readers with a broad picture of religious life through first-person accounts, profiles, photo stories, and articles about discernment, community life, vows, ministry, and Catholic teachings. The religious congregations who advertise in VISION provide additional information about their ministries and requirements in a community index and Vocation Match profile .
VISION is free. The printed guide is produced annually in August. Articles appear online in English, Spanish, and French. New content is posted daily.
If you are a journalist working on a story concerning Catholic vocations, the publisher and editors of VISION welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Please call 312-356-9900 or email us to request an interview.
VocationMatch.com is a unique discernment tool provided by VISION Vocation Guide to help men and women considering religious life focus their options and narrow their search for the right vocation and community. After completing a series of questions about interests and spiritual orientation, the participant's answers are matched against the profiles of hundreds of religious communities, institutes, and organizations in the VISION database. The discerner receives the results of potential good fits and may choose to send a personal profile on to them.
VocationMatch was featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric and in Time magazine.
